Benefits

Eligibility

- Must not require assistance with daily living activities
Refunds
- Full refund if canceled before the effective date
- Partial refund available for early return to origin or gaining eligibility for government health plan (proof required)
- Requests must be made in writing within 60 days
Extensions
- Can apply to extend coverage before expiry (no claims or changes to health during original policy)
- New conditions during the original policy are excluded from extended coverage
- Automatic 72-hour extension for hospitalization or travel delay at expiry
Claims
- Must notify MSH Assistance within 24 hours of emergency treatment
- Submit claims within 90 days with full documentation (itemized bills, proof of payment, medical records)
- Failure to notify in time may result in 20% co-insurance penalty
Exclusions
- Unstable pre-existing conditions
- Elective or routine checkups, non-emergency care
- Travel against medical advice
- Injuries from alcohol/drug use, criminal activity, or extreme sports
- Pregnancy-related complications beyond 31 weeks
